Target Exclusive Vintage Collection Droid Set (Boxed Sample Prototype) R5D4, Death Star Droid and Power Droid

Produced in 2012 and Exclusive to Target, the set is a Quality Control/Boxed Sample Prototype. There are subtle differences in the placement of the bubble, punch and overall design of the set compared to the Production version. The sides of the boxed are not taped sealed, which is common for Quality Control samples. The back of the box contains a Security Tracking Number. The Death Star Droid, R5D4 and Power Droid are some of the harder to find modern Prototypes.

POTF2 Commtech Greedo Quality Control Sample (MOC)

Pictured is a POTF2 Commtech Greedo Quality Control Sample (MOC). The figure is similar to the Production version and has a green “Kenner Standard” tag affixed to the back of the card. The card notes the Date: 21 May 1999, Item Number: 84185/84201, Item Name – GREEDO – CANTINA and Vendor: SMILE – C-060A. The card is signed by Q.A. or Quality Assurance.

Here is a picture of the front of the card. This is a noteworthy addition to my collection.

POTF2 Freeze Frame Death Star Trooper Test Shot (Unpainted)

Pictured is a POTF2 Freeze Frame Death Star Trooper Test Shot. The figure is unpainted and sonic welded, so it cannot be taken apart. The head is molded/shot in beige. The figure contains copyright information (Kenner China 1998 LFL) on the feet. The Death Star Trooper is one of the tougher to find Modern Prototypes and a nice addition to my collection.

Polish Unarticulated Zuckuss Bootlegs (Zuckuss Blues)

As some of you may know, I am an absolute sucker for Bootlegs. Back in 2019, I decided to take the "jump"  and start a side focus or run of Bootlegs, specifically from Poland. Pictured are all of the Blue variations for the Unarticulated Polish Zuckuss, produced in the late 1980's or early 1990's. From left to right is Lite Blue, Dark Blue, Blue/Purple with Red Eyes and Translucent Blue. The Lite and Dark Blue variations are rather hard to find, where the Translucent and Red Eyes versions are very hard to find. This is a nice sub-focus for my collection and as most Bootleg collectors know, the "hunt" is never over.

Unproduced (Cancelled) Titanium Series “Forged” Tusken Raider

Pictured is an Unproduced (Cancelled) Titanium Series “Forged” Tusken Raider. The figure is cast in die-cast metal and fully painted. The figure would have been released as part of the Titanium or “Forged” line before being cancelled in 2006. The figure is 3.75" in scale and has no copyright markings. The figure comes complete with a weapon (Gaffi Stick). The figure is quite striking and is a wonderful addition to my collection and quest of Pre-Production items for the First 21 Figures.

Saga Ponda Baba (Walrus Man) First Shot

Pictured is a Saga Ponda (Walrus Man) First Shot. The figure is unpainted and sonic welded, so it cannot be taken apart. The figure is noticeably different in scheme and color than the Production version. The right-arm can be removed from the figure and contains extra flashing near the hand, which leads me to believe this is an early First Shot. The figure does not contain copyright information and does not have holes on the bottom of the feet. Produced in 2002, this had been exclusive to Walmart and part of the Cantina Deluxe Pack. Modern Pre-Production items for Walrus Man are rather tough to find and this is a notable addition to my collection.

Imaginext Stormtrooper First Shot

Pictured is a Imaginext Stormtrooper First Shot. The figure is unpainted and missing copyright information. The figure is made of metal and is 3” tall. Produced in 2024, the figure had been part of the Darth Vader & Stormtrooper Figure Set. This is a notable addition to my ongoing pursuit of Pre-Production items for the First 21 figures.

Ohio Star Wars Collecting Club (OSWCC) Jawas Badge Set (Complete)

Pictured is an Ohio Star Wars Collecting Club (OSWCC) Badge Set featuring Jawas. These were created for their Summer Social in 2008 and feature different themes on each Badge, for example Inner Circle and VIP. The Badges were exclusive to that event and putting together a set of these is nearly impossible. I acquired the set in a trade for patches in 2012 and highly doubt another complete set exists. Aside from being rather cheesy, I love them and they make a cool addition to my run of unique Jawas.

Black Series Han Solo (Endor) First Shot

Pictured is a Black Series Han Solo (Endor) First Shot. The arms, face and upper chest are molded in yellow and unpainted. The tunic is molded in brown and differs from the production version (black). The belt and lower shirt appear to be hand painted. The legs and crotch are similar to the production version, but appear to be lighter in color. The figure contains copyright (Hasbrol LFL China) and tracking information on the feet. This is a notable addition to my ongoing pursuit of Pre-Production items for the First 21 figures.

Streets of Mos Eisley Playset with Exclusive Jawa (MOC)

When your primary focus are Jawas and Hasbro "just" so happens to make a Playset with an Exclusive Jawa (MOC), you do what most collectors do, you buy it. Pictured is a Streets of Mos Eisley Playset. The set includes a backdrop of Mos Eisley on Tatooine and of course our favorite Scavenger, the Jawa. The set is still sealed and for now, I do not plan on opening it. This is a notable addition to my "never-ending" focus on Jawas.

Star Wars Night Warm-Up Puck (Washington Capitals vs. Vancouver Canucks)

Along with Collecting Toys, I love, LOVE live Hockey. After moving to Virginia full-time in 1999, I have become a huge fan of the Washington Capitals. Pictured above is a Star Wars Night Warm-up Puck for the Washington Capitals vs. Vancouver Canucks on December 11, 2016. The puck comes complete with a case, Voucher card and Tattoo set celebrating the release of Rogue One on December 16, 2016. Roughly 50 or so pucks were made available to the public and I am very fortunate to have acquired one.

Star Wars Micro Collection X-Wing (Luke) Pilot (Unpainted First Shot)

Produced in 1982 and part of the X-Wing Fighter Playset, the figure is unpainted. The figure is considered a First Shot or overstock figure that were never used prior to the cancellation of the line in 1983.

Here is a picture of the back of the figure. The unpainted figure contains copyright information (LFL 82 and 283 014). However, the font and placement of the information is smaller than the Production version. Also, the base on the Production version is slightly larger. This is a notable addition to my ongoing pursuit of Pre-Production items for the First 21 figures.

Star Wars Micro Collection Stormtroopers (Unpainted First Shots)

Produced in 1982, the Stormtroopers were part of different Playsets, Death Star World and Bespin World. These are considered unpainted First Shots or overstock figures that were never used prior to the cancellation of the line in 1983. Each unpainted figure contains copyright information (LFL 82 and numbers; 460 015, 517 019, 517 020, 460 017, 583 022 and 583 023). However, the font and placement of the information is smaller than the Production version. The 460, 517 and 583 note the specific Playset they were included with. Here is a great article concerning the Micro Collection line for Star Wars.

Star Wars Micro Collection Han Solo Stormtrooper Disguise (Production and Unpainted First Shot)

Produced in 1982 and part of the Death Star World Playset, one figure is painted similar to the Production version. The other one is unpainted. The unpainted figure is considered a First Shot or overstock figure that were never used prior to the cancellation of the line in 1983.

Here is a picture of the bottom of the base or feet. The unpainted figure contains copyright information (LFL 82 and 517 015). However, the font and placement of the information is smaller than the Production version. Also, the base on the Production version is slightly larger. This is a notable addition to my ongoing pursuit of Pre-Production items for the First 21 figures.

Star Wars Celebration (IV) Jawa Medallion Poster.

Pictured is a Star Wars Celebration Jawa Medallion Poster. Held in Los Angeles, California from May 24 to May 28, 2007, the poster advertises Medallions, in this case a Jawa that were given to attendees at different Panels. The poster measures 16" by 12". These were only available to Collectors at two Social Events and are very hard to find. This is a notable addition to my "never-ending" Jawa run.

Princess Leia First Shot (Death Star Trash Compactor)

Pictured is a Princess Leia First Shot. The figure is unpainted and sonic welded, so it cannot be taken apart. The arms, hood, bottom torso (front and back) and legs are shot/molded in white. The upper torso (back and front) are molded in lite yellow and the head is molded in beige. The figure contains copyright information (Hasbro China LFL 2003). The figure had been part of the Death Star Trash Compactor Playset, produced in 2003. This is a notable addition to my ongoing pursuit of Pre-Production items for the First 21 figures.

Disney Park Exclusive Chewbacca Pen Unpainted Test Shots (Upper Torso):

Pictured are two Chewbacca Pen Unpainted Pen Test Shots (Upper Torso). Produced in 2022 and Exclusive to Disney Parks, the Upper Torsos are unpainted. The pen mechanism is missing from the stem that is attached to the top half of the figure.

Here is a picture of the Torso mounted on a Production Base next to the other Test shot. The Figure(s) measure 8” tall and are a nice addition to my ongoing pursuit of Pre-Production items for the First 21 figures.
