Unproduced / Cancelled Luke Skywalker in X-Wing Gear First Shot Prototype (Fisher Price Imaginext)

Pictured is a Luke Skywalker in X-Wing Gear First Shot Prototype. This is one huge prototype, measuring 16" tall and 10" wide. The figure is unpainted and molded in Orange (Torso, Hands and Legs), Black (Hand and Feet) and White (Face and Helmet). Based on my research, the figure might have been an expansion to the 18" XXL Lineup which a Sandtrooper and Mandalorian were produced in 2024. The First Shot lacks copyright dates or country of origin information. The lightsaber blade extends from his arm when you push the button.

Here is a picture of the back. The figure has a battery compartment on the back, but it did not come with batteries, so I have not tested them. There is what I personally believe to be a speaker above the battery compartment, so it possible the produced version would have had a speech function of some kind. This is by far the biggest prototype I have ever owned and is a noteworthy addition to my collection.

Jawa Garden Gnome

Who knew Jawas had gardening skills!! Pictured is a Jawa Garden Gnome. The figure is 5" tall and features a garden hose, tools and green (??) thumb. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of green on Tatooine, so he better go back to blasting Droids. Being honest, I am not sure if this is the production version or a damn good bootleg. Either way, the figure is pretty cool and a rather unique addition to my collection.

Power of the Force Two “Flashback” Chewbacca (Hoth) First Shot

Pictured is a POTF2 “Flashback” Chewbacca (Hoth) First Shot. I have to say this one beautiful prototype. The figure is molded in Blue (Head), Dark Brown (Tunic), Lite Brown (Torso) and Orange (Arms). The legs are molded in a Blueish Grey. The figure is non-sonic welded and can be taken apart. The figure contains copyright information on the feet (LFL 1998 Kenner China). It is very uncommon for non-sonic welded Prototypes to be stamped with copyright information.

The figure comes with a prototype weapon that differs in color (Blue) than the Production one. Also, part of the weapon is still attached to a sprue. I simply love this figure and am very excited to add it to my Modern Prototype Collection.

Toys-R-US Exclusive Silver Darth Vader “Translucent” First Shot

Pictured is a Toys-R-US Exclusive Silver Darth Vader “Translucent” First Shot. The figure is unpainted and molded in what seems to be a more translucent (smoke grey) plastic on the head, chest, arms, bottom cape and legs. The large cape can be removed and is more greyish in color, compared to the Production version. Produced in 2004 and exclusive to Toys-R-US, the figure had been painted Silver. The figure contains copyright information on the feet (LFL 1999 Kenner China) as this is the same mold used for the Power of the Jedi Darth Vader (Dagobah) figure.

Here is an up-close picture of the Head, Torso and Arms. The clearer or smoke grey plastic really stands out and is very noticeable compared to the Production version.I acquired the figure in a trade and this makes a nice and cool addition to my Modern Prototype Collection.

Power of the Jedi Snaggletooth (Zutton) First Shot

Pictured is a Power of the Jedi Snaggletooth (Zutton) First Shot. The figure is molded in black (Head and Arms), Yellow (Tunic) and Brown (Torso). The legs and holster are molded in black, grey and white. The color scheme is mixed on both legs. The figure lacks copyright information.

Here is a picture of the figure with Prototype weapons. The Blasters (black) and glass (solid white) differ in color and scheme from the Production versions. The figure is very cool and a nice addition to my Prototype collection of the First Twenty-One Figures.

POTF2 Hammerhead (Momaw Nadon) Kenner Standard (MOC)

Pictured is a POTF2 Hammerhead (Momaw Nadon) Kenner Standard (MOC). The figure is similar to the Production version and has a green “Kenner Standard” tag affixed to the back of the card. The card notes the Date: 10/22/96, Item Number: 69629, Item Name – STAR WARS HAMMERHEAD and Vendor: SMILE – C-060A. The back of the tag notes the change of card back color, Orange to Green and to reset standard on the card.  The card is signed by Q.A. or Quality Assurance.

Here is a picture of the front of the card. This is a noteworthy addition to my collection.
